Ofsted and Performance Data

We are incredibly proud of our most recent inspection outcome (October 2018). The leadership team has maintained the good quality of education in the school since the last inspection.

‘You and your deputy lead the school with passion and enthusiasm’.

The letter highlights everything that our school prides itself upon: keeping children safe, valuing everyone and high ambition.

Here are a few quotes:

  • Pupils told me that they enjoy coming to school because other children are friendly.
  • Great Milton is a happy school. As one parent wrote, ‘The most important thing is that my son is so happy. He bounces out of bed every morning and is excited to learn.’
  • Treating all equally and fairly is important to the ‘Great Milton family’. You have created an inclusive culture where all members of your community feel welcome.
  • Pupils act with respect for each other. As one pupil said to me, ‘It is OK to be different here.’
  • Staff are highly vigilant and, as a result, there is a strong safeguarding culture at Great Milton.

SIAMS Inspection 2017


As a Church of England School, we are also subject to a SIAMS inspection which has the child’s spiritual and moral development, the school’s Christian ethos and worship /RE as its focus. Our most recent inspection for this was in June 2017: click on the link below to read this report.


We are so proud that the report recognises all we have worked hard to create: 

The Headteacher’s vision and sense of direction has led directly to the consolidation of the school’s Christian distinctiveness and the introduction of several initiatives which are developing this even further.

The strong team created by members of staff powerfully reinforces the sense of purpose and vision built up by the school leadership and demonstrates the Christian values consistently within the school community.

The children readily respond to the vision and values and model these amongst themselves which has led to rapid development of the school’s Christian character.
