Collective Worship

In our collective worship throughout the year,  we focus on a different value each term and how we might demonstrate that value in our behaviour around school. We look at what the Bible has to tell us about that value, and use stories from around the world to explore the value in different contexts.

Our VALUE for this term is TRUST

Trust is the basis of all stable relationships, including a Christian's relationship with God.

'My God is my strength in whom I trust.'

Psalm 18.2

In school we have been talking about how we can show others that we are trustworthy and the consequences that breaking trust can have on our relationships with others. We will be exploring issues around trust as the term progresses, including trusting our instincts to keep us safe in different situations, including when we are online.  Please find the home school values sheet so you can explore more about trust at home.

Some questions to consider:

  • How do we show children in practical ways what it means to have trust in others?

  • How can we demonstrate sensitively the repercussions when trust is broken?

  • Which role models can we draw upon that will show different kinds of trust that work within our school, our community and the wider world?

School Prayer

This is our school,

Let peace dwell here,

Let the room be full of contentment,

Let love be here,

Love of one another,

Love of mankind,

And love of God,

Let us remember,

That as many hands build a house,

So many hearts make a school.
