Hello! My name is Mrs Ray and I am very excited to be teaching the Tawny Owls/ Year 1 Class in September with Miss Taylor. We have taught a class together this year and we make a great team! Here is a little bit about me…
I have been teaching in Oxfordshire for 17 years, but I only started at Great Milton Primary this year, so you may not have met me yet. I have taught all primary year groups from Reception through to Year 6, but the main bulk of my teaching has been in Key Stage 1 which I absolutely love!
I live in Horspath with my husband, 2 children; Alfie (who is 8) and Grace (who is nearly 6) and our fluffy black cat, Wicket. We live near Shotover Country park, so we really enjoy going on family walks in the woods. I also enjoy running, yoga, reading, being creative and drinking lots of tea!
I know we are going to have lots of fun learning and playing together in Tawny Owls from September. In the meantime, can you write me and Miss Taylor a postcard and post it to school during the summer holidays? You can send it from near (your house) or far (whilst on holiday)- we would absolutely love to hear what you have been getting up to over the Summer!
I can’t wait to see you soon!
I am so excited about September! I have been telling Mrs Ray how lucky we are to have you as our class. We are going to have a fantastic year all together! I thoroughly enjoyed getting to know you when I taught you on a Thursday in Elf Owls. You were all such a pleasure to teach.
Mrs Ray and I have been teaching Hawk Owls, your buddy class, since Christmas. Although I haven’t known Mrs Ray for very long, she has already become my friend. I know you will really like her too. We are quite similar people, so although you are getting two teachers, we will seem like one!
A little bit about me, some bits you might know already...
I have been teaching in Oxfordshire since 1995. I came to Great Milton School in 2016. I absolutely love my job and being part of our School family. I also work at the John Radcliffe hospital, teaching life saving skills to Year 6 children from all over Oxfordshire. When you are Hawk Owls I will take you!
I live in Wheatley and I have twin 16 year old girls, Evie and Rosie, I’m sure you will get to meet them. I think most of you know George who is currently in Hawk Owls. I know many of you play with him! I really enjoy spending time with my family and friends, walking, cooking and playing games. I like to relax often by listening to music or watching films. I especially like funny films.
I’m looking forward to reading your postcards!
Look after yourselves and we will see you very soon!
