Extra Curricular Activities

At Great Milton C of E Primary School, we place a high value on learning beyond the classroom and offer many opportunities for children to learn and represent our school in different ways throughout the school year.

Music Lessons

We offer a range of 1:1 music tuition at Great Milton C of E Primary School, including:

Mondays: Piano lessons with Anna Channon

Wednesdays: Violin lessons with Abbie Adiri

Thursdays: Whole class guitar lesson with Oxfordshire County Music Service- Y4 (Boreal Owls)

Thursdays: Rock Steady Music lessons where children can learn to play the guitar, drums, keyboard and vocals as part of a band.

Players and Performers

Once a year, the children are invited to play together and perform in front of an audience in our school hall. Refreshments are served and music is enjoyed and celebrated by all.

Choir

Choir is run by Mrs Frost at lunchtimes for KS2. We learn a range of songs from traditional to pop music.

The Big Christmas Sing

The choir performs at this annual event at Oxford Town Hall alongside ten other Oxfordshire schools to raise money for Christian Aid.

Primary Pop Concert

The choir performs at this annual event at the Centre for Music. Songs include music from Disney and current pop songs.

Oxfordshire Dance Competition

Teachers in school run a dance club where the children choreograph their own dance and perform it at the annual Oxfordhire Schools Dance Competition at the New Theatre in Oxford.
