Instead of a list of rules, we have 3 simple expectations:
These are known as ‘The Great Milton Way’ and referred to by all staff as the values we live out in school. More detailed examples of these are displayed in every classroom.
These six values were chosen by the children, staff and parents as the core values which best reflect our school.
Courage: Be brave, learning means taking risks and making mistakes.
Hope: ‘Learn from yesterday, live for today, hope for tomorrow. The important thing is not to stop questioning.' (Albert Einstein)
Respect: Develop self-respect and respect for others, celebrate our differences and value diversity.
Trust: Build trust through teamwork and responsibility.
Perseverance: Embrace challenges, build resilience and keep on trying.
Togetherness: We are a school family.
